|For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10|
God’s purpose for you in Christ is a display of His responsibleness and commitment as a Father to you. Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, God had excellently crafted a unique purpose for your life. He prepared a divine assignment to make your life meaningful and worth living!
Preparation is undeniably instrumental to Successes and the fulfillment of purpose. Jeremiah 1:17 says, “Therefore prepare yourself and arise, and speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed before their faces, lest I dismay you before them.” It is important to note that oftentimes, if not all the time, preparations for purpose begins with God. He prepared His purpose for your life and starts preparing you for His purpose even before the unveiling of it to you. Your experiences are collectively part of God’s pre-trainings for your assignment. Understand that it is God’s Will for you to find and fulfill purpose. Therefore, as soon as you discover His divine plan, resign yourself to it. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you through it. Some people make the mistake of waiting to be fully prepared before they give themselves to their purposes. You prepare ‘through’ purpose. Don’t wait to know it all before you start doing the needful. Usually your spiritual gifts and abilities point you to what you should begin with.
Joseph was ordained by God to be a great leader in Egypt, but his preparation began in the horrible prison where he was unjustly confined to. He did not use his unpleasant situation as an excuse why he can’t fulfill purpose. When the opportunity presented itself to Joseph, he maximized it because he was purpose driven. In Genesis 40, he interpreted two prisoners’ dreams and that eventually launched him into the great destiny he foresaw.
Fear of failure, criticism, rejection and ridicule is one of the major reasons why some persons ignore or abandon their purpose. All through Scriptures, God always addressed the issue of fear with an assurance of His Presence. God says to you, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”(Isaiah 41:10). As a new creature in Christ, God is not just with you, He is in you. In reality you have no reason to be afraid. Trust God to direct your steps into His perfect plan. All things are possible to him that believes. Believe in yourself. Refuse to be distracted by critics and despisers, they don’t count. Stay focused at all times.
Jesus said in John 16:13 that the Holy Spirit will tell you of things to come. Seek His counsel. Resist the temptation of submitting yourself to the opinions of others. No two destinies are the same no matter how similar they appear to be. Whenever you sense the need to counsel with someone, confirm with the Holy Spirit first. Remember that perfection is a function of the processes you need to go through. You may not have all you think you need; God is able to use what you have to launch you into a glorious destiny. Find purpose, prepare prayerfully and arise to fulfill it.
PRAYER: Thank You Father for preparing me for a great destiny, I live to the glory of Your name, amen.
