“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth
and deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to
your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3
Twith Christ, you have been endowed with excellence, splendor and beauty. You were born into glory. Hebrews 1:3 describes Jesus as being the brightness of God’s glory and the express image of His person. As joint heir with Christ, you are nothing less of all that Jesus is to God. Romans 3:23 declares that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ He has restored you back to the place of glory through your faith in Him. Christ in the believer is the hope of glory. He is your spiritual location. You live and permanently reside in glory. You walk in glory. You have your being in glory and carry the atmosphere of glory everywhere you go.
Recall the prayer of Jesus in John 17:23, ” And the glory which You gave Me I have GIVEN them, that they may be one just as We are one.” God doesn’t share His glory with idols, but He lavishes His glory on you. You share in the glory of God! It’s all about glory for the believer. Jesus came that you might have life abundantly. It’s a life of glory. There’s no shame or sickness in it. No failure or defeat. The life of God makes champions of men.
God’s glory secures all-round praise and honor. It makes you a celebrity, not a nonentity; a shining star and not an object of ridicule. Today’s theme scripture admonishes you to arise and shine. The intensity of light in you dispels darkness, attracting great men and women to you.
Arise from anything contrary to glory and shine ever so brightly. Expect the outcome of all that you do to be glorious.
Jesus said in John 8:12 that anyone who follows Him will not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. You are the light of the world. Go ahead and radiate the glory of God. The Spirit of glory is upon you, helping you in all things.
The Apostle Paul affirms by divine utterance that God’s wisdom was ordained for our glory in 1 Corinthians 2:7.The wisdom of God enables you to apply the truth of God’s Word to your life and delivers to you success. That’s what makes you productive and efficient in all that you engage in. Don’t settle for anything less. This truth knocks out any feelings of inferiority; fear of rejection and of failire. Always acknowledge and vocalize who God has made you in Christ. You are special and full of glory.
PRAYER: Thank You Father for the glory you have given me in Christ. I rise from glory to glory by Your Spirit at work in me.
