…so then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:16-17.
The atmosphere of faith shields and defends you from the onslaughts of the Enemy particularly those in form of negative reports. Faith dispels fear and strengthens you to live your life according to the good pleasure of His Will. You must deliberately plunge yourself into God’s Word and agree with all that it talks about. Spend each day creating an atmosphere that is positive, energizing and uplifting by listening to the Word and talking God’s talk (speaking faith-filled words).
Philippians 4:6 says, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things. “
Never give credence to anything contrary to the truth about God and His Word. Refuse to attend to bad reports. If you hear a rumor of retrenchment in your office, declare your portion is promotion. If your course mates are saying nobody gets a good grade in a particular course, your confession should be that of success and excellence. That’s why you must constantly give attention to the Word. It is the source of faith. The more you hear the message of faith, the more you are able to apply it to every aspect of your life.
Romans 8:18 lets you know that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in you. Therefore, stand firm in the faith. Don’t corrupt your mind by meditating on how rough and numerous the challenges you are faced with are. Keep saying what God says about you: a Success not a failure, all things are working for your good, your life is going upward and forward, your family is blessed, you are healthy and strong, great is your peace and prosperity etc. The atmosphere of faith builds in you a possibility mentality. The Word you hear or meditate on inspires you to talk faith-talk like Caleb who quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” The other leaders who went up with Caleb and Joshua to spy the Promised Land returned with bad report, spreading fear amongst God’s people. Guess what, those very men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the Lord. But Joshua and Caleb remained alive and eventually entered the land of promise (Numbers: 13, 14). Don’t magnify your problems and belittle the strength of God in you. You can do all things through Christ. When your atmosphere is of faith, you will de-emphasize any form of weakness or inability you had identified with. The power of God will be mightily at work in you and your experiences will be that of victory, glory and grace!
PRAYER: In the name of Jesus I am strengthened with all might. I stand strong in the face of adversities and carry the atmosphere of faith everywhere I go. I declare God’s Word boldly over my life. My life goes upward and forward only, amen!
