Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2.

Prayer is an integral part of the kingdom lifestyle. It simply means talking to God! What an awesome privilege you have in Jesus to enjoy confident access to the Almighty God without restrictions or prejudice. 1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Prayer helps you stay in fellowship with God. Today’s opening verse encourages you to continue in prayers. It says to keep talking to God with thanksgiving. It is to your advantage to continue in prayers.
Prayer strengthens your faith and your consciousness of God’s Presence. It constantly reminds you of who you are in Christ, a child of the King. Prayer affords you the opportunity to put the Word to work. You experience the supernatural power of God that changes things. James 5:17 says, “…the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much.” The benefits of regularly fellowshipping with God are numerous. You can talk to God about anything. God is interested in every aspect of your life. You can talk to Him about your marriage, career, business, sex life, etc. 1 Peter 5:7 says, “Casting ALL your care upon him; for he cares for you.
Your relationship with God gets better and better when you spend time talking with Him. As you nurture your fellowship with God, you soon realize that nothing else is as important as your union with Christ. Prayer eventually becomes something you enjoy doing. You go beyond praying for yourself alone but interceding for others as recommended in 1Timothy 2:1-3. “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God.”
Remember that the content of your prayer should be based on the truth of God’s Word. Enrich yourself with the Word and practice praying more often in the Spirit so that your prayer life will yield the expected results. Don’t be too busy for God; maximize your closeness with Him. Continue in prayer and make the most of your walk with God.

PRAYER: Thank You Father for the privilege to continue in fellowship, my life is full of the realities of the blessings of prayers. I’m strengthened with all might and I daily experience your supernatural power in Jesus’ name. Amen
