…and let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10.
Jesus is a classic example of a Man that is blessed and has not ceased to be a Blessing. While he was still on earth, He healed many who were sick. Through His vicarious death, the demand of the Law was fulfilled, by His resurrection; you received the gift of eternal life through faith in Him. Hebrew 2:9-10 say, “But we see Jesus…, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone…in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Jesus died for your sins and blessed you with a life of glory. Blessed be God!
Now that you are His ambassador, you are to follow His example, impacting others with your life. The Scripture admonishes you to let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Be actively involved in blessing lives. Look out for opportunities to be of great help to others. Contribute meaningfully in the lives of those around you. Don’t just wait until they come to you; be a little more sensitive to the needs of those God has placed around you. As much as it lies in your abilities, be a blessing. That’s how God expects you to spend your life on earth. He said to Abraham, “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.” Abraham was a blessing and those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. It’s your turn to reach out to your world and be a blessing.
Today’s theme verse encourages you to maintain good works. Some persons may seem not to deserve your support by your judgment, still be a blessing to them when the occasion demands. You give to people because you love God not because they are well behaved or familiar. Your love for God should be the standard reason that propels you to give. Jesus died for you while you were lost in sin. He has set the pace for you to reach out to others irrespective of who they are. Galatians 6:1 says if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. God is counting on you to witness to the sinners, strengthen the backsliding hearts and encourage the believers to grow up into Christ. Be a spiritual model that others would gladly imitate. Inspire others to pray, to fast, to study God’s Word and nurture their relationship with God.
Be kindly affectionate to others, don’t be overly critical of their behaviors. Wear forgiveness like a garment and allow the fruit of the Spirit dominate your life. Refuse to be a source of pain and sorrow to others. Be selfless, hospitable and kind. Always remember to bless others with the blessings of God that you freely enjoy, God will be glorified and you will live each day happily with a deep sense of fulfillment.
PRAYER: In the name of Jesus, I thank You heavenly Father for calling me blessed. My life has been meaningful because of Your blessings. I share your goodness with others helping them to live victoriously in Christ.
